Learn how to incorporate positive affirmations into your daily life to improve the health of your physical and emotional well-being.

Words are a very powerful form of medicine, and are often underutilized. We get caught up in the circle of lies that we tell ourselves. That we aren’t good at what we do, we aren’t happy with our lives or our bodies, we are unhealthy or sick. It is constant negative energy aimed right at our entire existence. No wonder why we have such a difficult time achieving health and wellness when we are constantly telling ourselves that we aren’t worthy of it.
Positive affirmations throw this belief system away. Positive affirmations are daily positive phrases that you tell yourself to challenge this negative self talk. The phrases used are meant to help you think more positive about yourself, and help you feel confident, loved, motivated, and have more self esteem.
Positive affirmations aren’t a substitute for medical care, but are a perfect adjunctive tool to use on your health journey. Many people who find themselves stuck in a health rut, or feel they aren’t ever fully getting better, typically need to aim inward. There is only so far your health will improve without the support of your thoughts and mind.
HOW TO USE POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS
Positive affirmations work best when used every day. Repeating positive affirmations several times a day can help reinforce this positive belief. There are several ways to say the positive affirmations.
The easiest way is saying it in your head. This is a great option when you are out in public or talking with other people. Positive affirmations can be used to give yourself gentle reminders to help get you through difficult parts of your day, and help you think more positive about the people and places surrounding you. It is also a great tool to help you feel grounded and connected to yourself and the earth.
Another great option is speaking the positive affirmation to yourself in a mirror. This is often the hardest one for people to do. Giving ourselves words of encouragement while looking directly at ourselves is extremely challenging, especially when people have negative thoughts about themselves. It is easy to get caught up in all of the stuff that we don’t like about ourselves when we are actively looking at ourselves. This takes time and lot of work, but is highly effective at changing overall mindset about oneself.
Lastly, you can try journaling your positive affirmations. Journaling is a great way to let thoughts out of your head and put them on paper. Writing down positive affirmations and reading them back to yourself is very therapeutic and can help reinforce those positive thoughts.
